The Art of Sisu: Cultivating the Spirit of Follow Through
An Art Therapy Workshop for Youth
This dynamic art therapy workshop invites youth to explore and strengthen their resilience, perseverance, and ability to see projects through to completion—qualities rooted in the concept of Sisu. Through guided creative exercises, participants will engage in hands-on art-making that fosters self-expression, builds confidence, and nurtures problem-solving skills.
Whether facing challenges in school, relationships, or personal goals, this group will help participants identify their inner strengths and develop the tools to stay committed and adaptable, even in the face of setbacks. By the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with a completed art project symbolizing their personal journey of perseverance and a renewed belief in their ability to follow through.
This group is perfect for youth ages 9-12 who want to build emotional resilience, learn through creative collaboration, and develop a deeper sense of purpose—all while having fun in a supportive and inspiring environment.
No prior art experience is necessary—just bring an open mind and a willingness to grow!
All high quality art supplies included.
This workshop is facilitated by Board-Certified Art Therapist, Jaclyn Lenz.
