For the mental health professional:

You understand the power of the art, creativity, and metaphor and want to be more intentional with using these tools in the therapy room. You want to learn more about the expressive art therapies—when it’s appropriate to incorporate into your work with clients, how to do so safely, and when to refer out to a registered art therapist.

I have a true love of learning, and really enjoy teaching and collaborating with others who share this passion. I offer individual peer consultation and group training workshops for mental health professionals that have a desire to incorporate expressive arts, meditation, and/or mindful movement for somatic healing into their work with clients.

For the art therapy student:

You’ve been nose-deep in textbooks and your fingers are tired from writing research papers for the past year or two, but you’re finally approaching the stage in your program where you can get hands-on, practical clinical experience. Congratulations! It’s time for internship. It’s time to show the world what you’ve worked so hard to learn. It’s time to BE an art therapist. What an exciting time!

Once a month, HeARTS for Hope Therapy hosts a free virtual meetup for creative clinicians (art therapists, social workers, mental health professionals, and students) to work on response art as a way to process our work with others.
