Meet Courtney Chandler

Founder of HeARTS for Hope Therapy, LLC

Hey y’all, I’m Courtney!

I’m a Somatic Art Therapist and Trauma-Conscious Yoga Teacher based in Greenville, South Carolina. My passion lies in guiding others toward healing through creative expression, embodiment, and meaningful connection.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of offering expressive arts therapy and trauma-conscious yoga in various mental health facilities, detention centers, and substance use treatment programs across the country. My work has since evolved into more specialized embodied healing at HeARTS for Hope Therapy, where I take a holistic, non-traditional approach to psychotherapy by integrating art therapy, somatic therapy, and EMDR trauma therapy to help my clients reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways.

With over a decade of experience blending mindfulness and expressive arts, I’m deeply committed to supporting women, teens, and young adults who are ready to embrace their courageous, creative spirit and break free from anxiety, trauma, grief, and limiting beliefs. I truly believe that the expressive arts hold a unique power to heal trauma, reduce shame, and cultivate resilience and self-acceptance.

I’m dedicated to helping my clients navigate grief, heal from trauma, learn to trust their intuition and love themselves, know their worth, and create a renewed zest for life.

If you’re curious about my credentials and specialized certifications, you’ll find them at the bottom of this page.

A little about me beyond the therapy room…

I seek balance by spending time with my friends, family, and my spunky dog, Jack. Creativity is at the heart of my life—whether I’m making an artistic mess, hiking, reading, or sipping coffee while dreaming up new ideas. You can also find me at poetry slams, stand-up comedy shows, or attempting (with enthusiasm, if not always success) to grow a thriving garden. I believe in the magic of adventure, gratitude, and the little things that bring joy—like fuzzy slippers, scented candles, chamomile tea, and a good Grey’s Anatomy binge. Most of all, I try to savor moments of awe and wonder, especially when watching a colorful sunrise or sunset.

If my approach resonates with you, I’d love to connect!
