Mandalas, meaning "sacred circles" in Sanskrit, are symbols that are used for meditation, prayer, healing and art therapy. Mandalas have been shown in clinical studies to boost the immune system, reduce stress and pain, lower blood pressure, promote sleep and ease depression. In this workshop, you will be guided through meditation and mindful movement that will prep your mind and body to creatively express present thoughts and feelings visually through your mandala. This workshop will awaken your inner artist and inspire your soul.
No formal art or meditation experience necessary. The only requirement is to show up for yourself with an open-mind and willingness to tap into your creativity and vulnerability. This workshop is being offered online via Zoom due to ongoing public health concerns related to COVID19.
This somatic workshop is facilitated by art therapist and trauma-informed yoga instructor, Courtney Chandler, LPCA, ATRP, ADC, E-RYT.
