Self-Compassion from Root to Crown: Chakra Balancing with Gelli Printmaking

  • Nectar Community 219 W Antrim Drive Suite G Greenville, SC 29607 USA (map)

Chakras are the main energy centers located along the spine responsible for receiving, releasing, and flowing with life force energy. These vital energy centers are believed to provide a powerful link between the mind and body.

Gelli printmaking is an innovative process used to create vibrant, one-of-a-kind art ‘monoprints’ using gel plates, brayers (hand-held paint rollers), stencils, paint, and paper.

In this workshop, you will gain a deeper understanding of your 7 chakras from root to crown. You’ll begin with a personal chakra assessment that will inform your awareness of which areas of your mind-body-spirit that are open and flowing, and where you might be stuck. In addition to receiving educational materials, you will further explore your chakras through an integration of meditation, breath-work, and creative expression that intentionally cultivate more wholeness and self-compassion within the specific chakra focus of your choice.

You will be guided through various Gelli printmaking techniques, allowing you to explore, experiment, and play as you learn how to work with this art medium for yourself. After some creative playtime, you’ll be guided through meditation and breath-work that acts a catalyst for creativity, emotional expression, self-compassion, and intuitive healing. Within the workshop timeframe, you’ll have the opportunity to create up to 7 finished monotype artwork prints!

This workshop will close with community connection for anyone willing to step into vulnerability and share their insights and creative expressions.

No prior experience in meditation or monotype printmaking necessary.
